GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING CLASS​

 

ORIGINAL

Completely original - paint, upholstery, only cosmetic repair of minor dents, some chrome replacement, or repair of paint (no more than 35% repainted since new). Bolt-on accessories can cause a vehicle to be deemed “Modified”.

RESTORED TO ORIGINAL

Original type parts - complete repaint in original colors, re-upholstered seats, headliner, etc. in original type materials. NO chrome wheels, valve covers, suspension parts, etc. (i.e. NO CHROME WHERE IT WAS NOT FROM THE FACTORY). Any changes from original-type materials could put the vehicle into the modified or street rod class.

MODIFIED

Complete re-paint in non-original color(s), or type (i.e. flames, graphics, etc.), engine change, custom wheels, chrome parts on engine or suspension, etc.

Note: The Gunnison Car Club reserves the right to add classes to accommodate special groups. If your group has 10 or more cars that could form a new class and you are registering more than 30 days in advance, please indicate this on your registration form. The Gunnison Car Club will take the new class into consideration for judging. If you or your group does not pre-register more than 30 days in advance and your group has 10 or more cars attending the show, the club will consider adding the new class for the following year.

There will be a registration "tech" committee to help participants enter their vehicle in the correct class. Any vehicle that appears to be registered in the wrong class will be reviewed. The decision of the committee will be final!

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Gunnison Car Show and related activities (the “Car Show”), and for other valuable consideration, the undersigned hereby waives, releases, discharges and agrees to hold harmless the Gunnison Car Show, the Gunnison Car Club, the City of Gunnison and the Town of Crested Butte, their agents, officers, directors, employees, shareholders, members, administrators and assigns (“Sponsors”), from any and all claims and demands for damages as to any personal injury, property damage or other injury or loss to the undersigned and/or his or her property which the undersigned may have or may occur as a result of participating in the Car Show, including but not limited to attorney fees and costs. The undersigned hereby assumes any and all risk of loss, damage or injury occurring as a result of any of the above happenings or activities and specifically releases and discharges, in advance, the Car Club and Sponsors from any and all liability. The undersigned further agrees to allow the Car Club and Sponsors, without charge, to use my name and all photos associated with my entry in the Gunnison Car Show for publicity and advertising purposes.
